Hi, my name is James Ventham and Welcome to Guided Path Coaching & Hypnotherapy

 

I live in Kings Norton, Birmingham with my wife Gabby and our little dog Fred. Life has thrown me a few curveballs—I'm an amputee and live with a rare medical condition that’s brought its share of challenges. These experiences have taught me the importance of mental resilience and shaped the way I support others.

Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—from stand-up comedy to running a software business with my wife, to training the military and NHS in casualty simulation. In 2017, I began training in acupressure with the intention of starting a practice, but as for many, COVID disrupted those plans. After navigating some health hurdles, I found my way to Life Coaching and Hypnotherapy, and I’m now fully qualified and actively practicing.

My goal is to help people who may have found traditional talking therapies difficult or ineffective. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, low confidence, or something you can't quite name, I offer practical, down-to-earth support. I’m especially passionate about working with people who are living with disability, chronic illness, or visible differences. I understand how these experiences can affect self-esteem and identity, and I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel seen and supported.

Sessions are held via WhatsApp video, and I also offer chat-based support for those who prefer a more flexible or low-pressure way to engage.

Using a blend of coaching, emotional freedom techniques (EFT), guided meditation, and hypnotherapy, I aim to equip you with tools that can make a real difference in your daily life.
